John Speed (1600-1676) was an English cartographer and historian. He was a contemporary of Christopher Saxton.

The Theatre of the Empire of Great Briatine (1611/12)

Published in 1611/12, Speed's The Theatre of the Empire of Great Briatine is considered to be one of the first complete sets of individual county maps for England and Wales ever produced.
