'National Library of Scotland: Norfolk XXV.NW. Surveyed: 1885. Published: 1885. OS Map 6 inches to the mile'
Comment by John Scurr: "If this is the correct mill (ringed in red) then the modern name of the river is River Wensum. I see the name Windsder flu. on the Ogilvy map which I take to be the name of the river then." The crossing is just to the south of Fakenham on the road from London to Wells in Norfolk. Ogilby's surveyors show an unnamed common to the south of the river on the right hand side, together with a gravel pit and trees on the lefthand side and an inidentified house.
